“Individuals play the game, but teams win championships.”

The Dallas Baseball Alliance Elite program was established in 2011 by John Darjean and R. Lamar Brooks. It consists of several different teams ranging in ages from 4-17 years old. The purpose and goals for these teams is to provide an opportunity for our players to learn quality baseball, good sportsmanship, provide a fun, family-oriented environment and to build character among our players. We want to develop an organization that consists of individuals who are not just players but also role models for their peers both on and off the field.

The Dallas Baseball Alliance Philosophy:

Players:

Players who desire to be among the best in the world must endeavor to practice baseball virtually every day of the week.  Players must educate and immerse themselves in the sport of baseball to become truly successful.

Team Philosophy:

The only way to be a great team takes understanding on how to work together and the only way to work together is to practice consistently together as a team.

Organization Philosophy:

We expect to lift one another as coaches, players and parents, through the good times and the bad. We endeavor to build character within the young men in our organization and perpetuate a culture of understanding how the game should be played and taught.

Some Winning Philosophies:

The Champion’s Creed

1.Never underestimate your opponent

2. Work on your weaknesses until they become your strong points

3. Dedicate yourself to a mighty purpose.

4. Ignore those who discourage you.

5. Talent is God-given, be humble.

6. Fame is man-given, be thankful.

7. Do what has to be done, when it has to be done, and as well as it can be done

8. Remember when you’re not working to improve, your competition is.

9. Always give your best.

10. Practice like a champion.

11. Play like a champion.

12. Live like a champion.

“Its hard to beat a person who never gives up”-Babe Ruth

“Most look up and admire the stars. A champion climbs a mountain and grabs one.”

“Winners do what losers don’t want to do”

“I never expect to lose. Even when i’m the underdog, i still prepare a victory speech.”

“To play like a champion, practice like a champion.”

“Average is your enemy”

“If a man does his best, what else is there.”

“Champions execute the fundamentals with unconscious competence. That means they’ve practiced the moves so many times in the past that they can do them almost perfectly without thinking about it. When you can perform brilliantly without thinking, you can perform at a very high level.”

“Proper preparation solves 80 percent of life’s problems.”

“Champions know there are no shortcuts to the top. They climb the mountain one step at a time. They have no use for helicopters!”

“Winners are like biscuits-when things heat up, they rise to the occasion”

“Excellence is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, determined effort, and skilled execution.”

“Hold yourself responsible to a higher standard than anyone expects of you. Never excuse yourself”

“Pursue perfection but accept excellence”

“The will to win is important, but the will to prepare is vital.”

“Fame is fleeting. Money takes wing. Popularity is an accident. The only thing that remains is character.”

“It doesn’t take talent to hustle”

“The quality of your life is determined by the quality of people in your life.”

“Excellence is immortal”

“The minute you start talking about what you’re going to do if you lose, you have lost”

“Good, Better, Best. Never rest until good be better and better best.”

“Talent without discipline is like an octopus on roller skates. There’s plenty of movement, but you never know if it’s going to be forward, backwards, or sideways.”

“Competing in sports has taught me that if i’m not willing to give 120 percent, somebody else will.”-Ron Blomberg, Former NY Yankee

“Those who strive to be above average soon are.”

‘Opportunity dances with those who are already on the dance floor.”

“Better to be three hours too soon than one minute too late.”-Shakespeare

“When your opponent is bigger, faster, stronger, train harder, longer, smarter.”

“Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence.”-Calvin Coolidge
